Package Design
I have a lot of experience designing packaging. As an in-house designer, I was frequently tasked with creating a brand from start to finish. This included everything from designing the logo and creating branding identity guidelines, writing instruction manuals, photographing the product, writing copy for ads and packaging, and designing the packaging itself. I have worked with vendors and print houses across the globe. Whether it’s a corrugated box, a simple hang tag, or an aluminum tin, I understand what is involved in package design, and I can get it done for you. Let me handle the details. I’ll go to the press checks, you go to the sales meetings.
Hanes T-Shirt
The intent for this packaging redesign was to eliminate plastic and minimize environmental impact. A simple paper wrap with adhesive backing, this packaging concept achieves the intent. I utilized a stock photo for the model, and laid out the design using Adobe InDesign.
So Delicious Holiday Creamers
I designed the graphics for the creamer cups using Adobe Illustrator. Using those same elements, I added them to the box to help call out the flavors inside this variety pack. To keep the theme consistent, I used a photograph on the box that had similar elements I used on the creamer cups. The result was a festive and mouth-watering holiday variety pack sure to please any coffee drinker.
Effacé Bath Salt
Effacé is the French word for “erase.” With Effacé bath salts, you can erase the cares away. This was a self-initiated project. I found the cute scoop and decided to create a product and package to go with it. I designed the logo and packaging in Adobe Illustrator, then printed it out and created a mockup of the box. I then photographed the product and created an advertising shot using Photoshop.
Digimax Tin Boxes
These high-end horticultural lamps needed a strong shipping box, and a way to stand out on the shelf to compete with their biggest competitor. The product manager and I decided to utilize a tin box that would achieve both those points. I worked with the vendor in China, so that the box manufacturer could supply the manufacturing plant with the packaging upon product completion.
The embossing technique is called a “blind-bevel embossing”. Inside the keepsake tins, was a removable, die-cut foam layer, which snugly held the lamps and kept them secure in shipping and handling.
Measure Master Pipettes
I created three different box designs for this product line: 3mm, 5mm and a combo box with both 3mm and 5mm pipettes. I photographed the product, designed the logo and created the packaging for this product line. I utilized Adone Photoshop and InDesign for this project.
Walker Eye Protection
The primary goal for this redesign was to improve upon the existing packaging. These safety glasses were originally sold with this awful blister packaging. I designed the new package to be a simple cardboard box that can be easily opened by the customer. The cardboard design allows the empty box to be easily flattened and recycled.
